At Classic Swiss Cooking, we are committed to ensuring your satisfaction with our products and services. This Refund Policy outlines our procedures for returns, refunds, and exchanges for various purchases made through our website. Please read this policy carefully to understand your rights and responsibilities.

Digital Products & Online Courses

Eligibility for Refunds

For our digital recipe collections, e-books, and online cooking courses, we offer a 14-day satisfaction guarantee. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you may request a refund within 14 days of the purchase date, subject to the following conditions:

  • You have not downloaded more than 30% of the digital content
  • For online courses, you have not completed more than 20% of the course material
  • You can provide a valid reason for the refund request that demonstrates the product did not meet reasonable expectations

Non-Refundable Items

The following digital products are non-refundable:

  • Individual recipe downloads priced under CHF 5
  • Custom meal plans created specifically for you
  • Digital products that have been fully downloaded

Physical Products

Eligibility for Returns & Refunds

For physical products such as cookbooks, cooking equipment, or food products, you may return items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund or exchange, provided that:

  • The item is in its original condition and, where applicable, in the original packaging
  • The item has not been used or damaged
  • You have a proof of purchase (order confirmation or receipt)

Return Shipping

If you are returning an item because of an error on our part (e.g., wrong item sent, defective product), we will reimburse you for the reasonable return shipping costs. Please contact our customer service team before returning the item to arrange this.

If you are returning an item due to a change of mind or for any reason other than a defect or error on our part, you will be responsible for the return shipping costs.

Perishable Food Items

Due to the nature of perishable food products, these items cannot be returned. However, if you receive a food product that is damaged or spoiled upon arrival, please contact us within 24 hours of delivery, and we will arrange for a replacement or refund.

Cooking Workshops & Events

Cancellation by Customer

For in-person cooking workshops, classes, and events:

  • More than 14 days before the event: Full refund or option to reschedule
  • 7-14 days before the event: 75% refund or option to reschedule
  • 3-7 days before the event: 50% refund or option to reschedule
  • Less than 3 days before the event: No refund, but you may transfer your booking to another person

Cancellation by Classic Swiss Cooking

If we need to cancel a workshop or event for any reason, you will be offered the choice of:

  • A full refund
  • Rescheduling to another date
  • Credit toward a future workshop or other products

Subscription Services

Monthly Recipe Subscriptions

For monthly recipe subscription services:

  • You may cancel your subscription at any time
  • Cancellations will take effect at the end of your current billing period
  • No partial refunds are provided for unused portions of the current billing period
  • If you cancel within 7 days of starting a new subscription, you may request a full refund

Annual Subscriptions

For annual subscriptions:

  • Cancellations within 14 days of purchase qualify for a full refund
  • Cancellations after 14 days but within the first 60 days may receive a prorated refund minus any applicable discounts that were applied for the annual commitment
  • No refunds are provided for annual subscriptions after 60 days

How to Request a Refund

  2. Provide your order number, purchase date, and the specific item(s) for which you are requesting a refund
  3. Explain the reason for your refund request
  4. For physical products, wait for instructions on how to return the item (if applicable)

Information Required

When submitting a refund request, please include:

  • Your full name and email address used for the purchase
  • Order number or transaction ID
  • Date of purchase
  • Product or service name
  • Reason for the refund request
  • Preferred refund method (original payment method, store credit, etc.)

Refund Processing Time

We process refund requests within the following timeframes:

  • Digital products: 3-5 business days
  • Physical products: 7-10 business days after receiving the returned item
  • Workshops and events: 5-7 business days
  • Subscriptions: 3-5 business days

Please note that after we process the refund, it may take an additional 5-10 business days for the refund to appear in your account, depending on your payment provider or bank.

Refund Methods

Refunds will be issued using the original payment method used for the purchase. In specific cases where this is not possible, we may issue:

  • Store credit
  • Bank transfer
  • Other payment methods as agreed upon with the customer

Exceptions to the Refund Policy

While we strive to ensure customer satisfaction, certain situations may not qualify for refunds:

  • Requests made outside the specified refund period
  • Digital content that has been fully accessed or downloaded
  • Custom or personalized products created specifically for you
  • Items damaged due to misuse or improper handling
  • Workshops missed without prior notice
  • Services that have been fully delivered

We review each case individually and may make exceptions at our discretion, particularly in cases of extenuating circumstances.

Statutory Rights

This Refund Policy does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer under Swiss law or the laws of your country of residence. Consumers in the European Union may have additional rights under the EU Consumer Rights Directive.

We reserve the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. It is your responsibility to review this policy periodically. Your continued use of our services after any changes indicates your acceptance of the updated policy.
